Looking for actors in los angeles to help me film a 6 minute short. Looking for someone young, preferably under 5' 9" but not required. The scene involves some running but will provide water and snacks while filming. More details about the project will be shared upon being selected. I don't have enough money in the bud…

So I was an actor on a “feature film” a few months ago. It was quite low budget and my role was unpaid, only expenses. I did a couple of days of free work then had to leave through illness. I did sign a contract prior to filming. I have seen the trailer for the film and it looks quite professional, more so than I thoug…

Hi guys, Once again I am asking questions about different locations for acting in Canada. This time I was wondering how the comedy scene in Toronto is and if it is feasible to have a career out there ? . Also I have heard things about ambition talent being the agency for comedic actors, is this true ?

Hi... i don't know if this is the right place to ask, but i'm looking an LGBT actress from London (or any closer to Maidstone) for my LGBT short film ‘Pride and Mind’. This film raises awareness of the struggles of the LGBT community and the alarming suicide rates because of bullying and discrimination. Plot: A lesbian…

Title says all. I dunno if this is the right sub for asking this, so sorry if it's not the case. I'm very introvert, shy, 0 self confidence. May people say that getting into acting and these kind of stuff could help. I don't want to become an actor or whatever, just to beat the hell up my problems. I'm very afraid to b…

I’m looking for a scene from a film of a “typical” 1950s family eating breakfast- (father reading the paper, says goodbye to kids and off to work type scene) just needing some dialogue for a school project. Doesn’t have to be a film made in the 50s- simply looking for that era! Any pointers or ideas would help; I’ve be…

Hello! I'm a 16 year old actor, I've done a couple things off and on since I was little but still quite new, it's been my goal/dream for forever and I'm gonna a put more effort into it now than I ever have before. I also want to make comedic commentary videos on YouTube similar to *(H3H3, Danny Gonzalez, Cody Ko, etc.…

I’m sure this applies to a lot of actors, but something that I feel is really holding me back from reaching my full potential in acting is my inability to relax. I’ve noticed that when I approach a role with a “silly” attitude and have fun with it, I am able to seamlessly slip into different personas. Can I get some ad…

From what I can tell, they just start rolling the film and then the actors say their lines a bunch of different ways and hit their marks and whatever else, sometimes screwing up and starting to laugh and shit, and the director just picks whatever take he likes best. They don't seem to be "in character" in the slightest…

Hi! I'm a 21 year old swede in Australia and my life long dream is being an actor (like everybody else) and I thought the best way to start is with shortfilms. I'm in NYC. I first listen to some calm instrumental music on my headphones on my subway ride to the audition. Once I'm above ground and walking to the casting office, I go over my lines outloud but since I still have my headphones on people won't think I'm crazy. :) Then right before I enter the building I watch [Brya…

This post is related to the safety of actors. We talk about the craft and honing our instrument, but the most important thing is taking care of your body. I notice that a lot of jobs posted require one to post a reel. Aside from commissioning a studio to make one for you (Which is a bit out of my budget at the moment). How would one recommend getting a reel going?

I’m a new actor. Right now I’m in Chicago as Fred Casely playing next to an unbelievable Roxie. Everyone knows she’s more experienced than me. I have a question, it may be stupid, I don't think it is, but here it goes.
