An address on your own domain reads better on a resume than a free one, and it does not mean another inbox to check. Pick the part before the at sign.

0:21 Then choose which of your domains it belongs to. This list fills in once a domain is connected, so if it is empty, start on the Domains page.

0:30 Create it and mail sent to the new address arrives in the inbox you already use, usually within a few minutes. Make as many as you find useful.

0:39 This forwards mail to you. If you also want to reply from the new address, there is a separate article on sending through Gmail.
