Media: Video Player

How your videos are framed on your website: the skin around the player, not the videos themselves. Add and organize those under Media then Videos. Pick a skin and your reels are shown in it everywhere they appear. As with the audio player, some designs impose their own treatment and will override this, so check the live site rather than the preview if the two do not match. This page appears once you have at least one video.

Transcript of the video

This page decides how a video looks on your site before anybody presses play. Your videos are not loaded as players any more. Each one is a still with a play button over it, and the real YouTube or Vimeo player only arrives once a visitor clicks. That is what keeps your pages quick. Rounded is what you have unless you change it. Soft corners, a white play button, and your title along the bottom on a gradient so it stays readable over a bright picture. Minimal puts nothing over the picture but a thin ring, and drops the title underneath in your own type and color. Cinematic dims the still and brightens it as the mouse moves across, with the title set large beside the play button. Use this style saves it. It applies everywhere at once, on whichever design you are running. There is no wrong answer here. Pick the one that disappears into your design, not the one that stands out on this page.
