Media: Audio Player

This page only decides how your audio looks and behaves on your website; it does not hold the audio itself, which lives under Media then Audio. Pick a player style and the preview shows you roughly what visitors will see. Some designs draw the player their own way and will ignore parts of what you choose here, so if the preview and your live site disagree, your live site is right. The page is hidden until you have uploaded at least one track, since there would be nothing to configure.

This is how your tracks are played on your own website, and the change is live the moment you pick one. Every design already plays audio. What you choose here is the thing a visitor actually looks at and uses while it plays. Classic is the slim bar that ships with every design. Play, pause, stop and a seek bar, tinted to your site colors. It is what you have until you change it. Vinyl Waveform is the one this account is on. The play button swells into a spinning record, and a live waveform runs across the track underneath a progress line. Studio Playlist is built for people whose work is the audio itself. Every track in one list, with a waveform you can scrub, artwork and running time. That is the one for a voiceover or composing reel. Use this player saves the choice. There is nothing else to do, and every page on your site that plays audio picks it up. Pick the one that suits the work. A single clip reads well in the slim bar, and a body of spots wants the playlist.
