I am a newer actor and saw a street casting for a commercial that I want to submit to. Is this something I need to tell my agent about? I'd rather find out before than upset them and get cancelled or something. Thanks for your input.

I recently went to a casting, and during the audition/casting process the directors mentioned that they were planning to add more kissing/romantic scenes to the project. Have you ever felt awkward watching a romantic scene you were in with your family, or had any funny/uncomfortable because of it? I’d also love to hear…

A little about me to frame the question: I'm a Philly based actor (I have a "real" 9-5, I act because I love it. I don't need the income.) Over the years I collected 6 SAG waivers doing background work and have been SAG-E for the last 3 years. Other than background all my work has been non-union or SAG ULB. This year h…

I recently came across an older discussion about Steven Ditmyer and Meisner International, and because my experience has been so radically different from some of what I read there, I felt it was worth sharing it. I have now worked with Steve repeatedly, through several five-day intensives, so this is not based on a sin…

I’m looking for honest perspectives, particularly from Black people and other POC. I’m an animator and I create my own characters/stories. Hi! I’m currently working on my first indie visual novel and I’m starting to look into voice acting, but I honestly have no idea what a realistic budget would be. Quick question regarding age in casting…. If I’m 17 years old and a role says 18, is it suggesting that the producers are only willing to work with legal adults, or just that the character’s age falls there and they would possible consider a minor? Thanks in advance actors 🙏

I love performing, I'm not embarrassed or too nervous when I get in front of a camera for a scene or rehearsing. But for some reason, every time I perform, I start to vibrate?? If that makes sense. I know for me it comes down to the impact of storytelling and giving a great performance. Movies like "Blood Diamond", Pulp Fiction", "F1", "Sinners" (that have become some of my favorites) have not only great stories, but great performances as well.

I’ve noticed that I tend to keep my lips/jaw quite tense when I speak, and I also move my eyebrows a LOT.
